While highly effective in relieving anxiety symptoms, they are also popular drugs of use and abuse. This presentation will equip clinicians with an understanding of the pharmacology of BZ and explore patterns of use, intoxication, and withdrawal syndrome as well as describe clinical skills for assessing a client’s use of BZ, and techniques of working with clients who use BZ.
