About This Course
This training will provide training participants with the opportunity to deepen their skills in implementing TF-CBT. Clinicians will learn how to: 1) incorporate gradual exposure into all components of TF-CBT; email 2) remain trauma-focused when responding to crises of the week; 3) incorporate new or newly disclosed traumas into TF-CBT process; 4) implement TF-CBT with child/family experiencing ongoing stressors; and 5) modify TF CBT components for cases of child traumatic grief; 6) learn how to implement grief-focused components of TF-CBT.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify two techniques for conducting gradual exposure in trauma-focused therapy
- Identify 2 techniques for remaining trauma-focused when responding to crises of the week
- Incorporate new or newly disclosed traumas into TF-CBT process
- Implement TF-CBT with child/family experiencing ongoing stressors
- Modify TF-CBT components for cases of child traumatic grief
- Incorporate grief-focused components into TF-CBT
Intended Audience:
Middle to upper management staff of small behavioral health agencies (less than 100 staff).

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.
Credit Statements:
BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.
