About This Course

This 6-hour skills-based course is designed to enhance practitioners’ skills in Supervision of Psychiatric Rehabilitation services staff. Developed in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), the course offers those in the Behavioral Health Field currently providing supervision for psychiatric rehabilitation staff advanced tools in BH Supervision. Utilizing an approach to inspire, teach, challenge and evaluate Supervisory style and collaboration with staff goals/objectives. Join us to develop a collaborative, strength-based approach for supervision in psychiatric rehabilitation programs.

Learning Objectives: 

• Define phases of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
• Discuss and model core principles of PR in supervision.
• Compare and contrast supervision and leadership.
• Discuss strategies to move transition through the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Process, Assessing, Planning, and Intervening.

Completion Requirements: 

Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.

Credit Statements:

BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU. 
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.  BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.
