About This Course
When trying to meet the needs of service users, it is essential to know what the current illicit drug supply is. Knowing what people In Philadelphia, especially with the rapidly changing opioid drug supply allows us to understand any new or changing symptoms people might experience as a result. This training will go over primarily the current opioid drug supply in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania more broadly, and will allow participants to better understand the needs of service users with SUD.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the primarily drug(s) of choice in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia
- Explain the shifts in the illicit drug supply in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia in the last 20 years
- Discuss what the current state of the illicit drug supply is and how it impacts people who use and their behavioral health needs
Intended Audience:
All behavioral health staff. Especially those working in the drug and alcohol field.

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.
